FREE entries for Canine Partners runners
Also new for 2009 - the Sussex Beacon
Youth Races: A 800m race for 8-10year olds and a 2.5km for 11-16 years olds

Sunday 3rd May - Bupa Great Edinburgh Run 2009
Scotland's premier 10km road running event the Bupa Great Edinburgh Run is expected to welcome over 10,000 runners of all abilities.

The city centre course takes in some of Edinburgh's most stunning scenary and famous landmarks including Edinburgh Castle, The Scott Monument, The Royal Mile, Holyrood Palace and the Scottish Parliament Building. In a change to previous years the course will take participants down the Mound giving runners ample time to admire the fantastic views of Edinburgh's historic New Town, the Firth of Forth and beyond to The Kingdom of Fife.

Sunday 7th June 2009 – LiDBA’s 25 Mile Ride Adult and Junior Ride
Join us through the beautiful West Sussex countryside; out and back of Bohunt; including three refreshment stops!



Bupa Great Winter Run
The popular Bupa Great Winter Run takes place on Saturday 10th January 2009 in the beautiful surroundings of Holyrood Park in Edinburgh.

Bupa GREAT SOUTH RUN - 10 miles
The 2009 event is on Sunday 25th October, with the Junior and Mini runs the day before.

Bupa GREAT CAPITAL RUN - 10k
Hyde Park, London; date TBC

Saturday 9th May 2009 – JUSTWalk, The South Downs, West Sussex
The third JUSTWalk is bigger and better; with a distance to suit all ages and levels of stamina, you will not be able to resist taking part in this unique charity event.

The BIG 60km Route – £65 registration
NEW 40km Route - £55 registration
20km Route - £45 for over 12s and £10 for under 12s
New 10km Route - Adults £15, children under 12s free.
The start location is Goodwood Racecourse.

Marathons!

If you have secured a place in a Marathon or race such as the Great North or Great South run - why not choose to support Canine Partners? Many people have supported our work in this way, not only raising much needed funds, but also raising the awareness of our work.

We will provide you with personalised sponsor forms, literature to help you explain our work and a T-shirt or running Vest for you to wear while raising funds or running the race itself! Please contact our Fundraising Team for more details!

As many of you already now, this will be my third London Marathon run in support of Canine Partners.........

With everyone's GENEROUS support over the past two years I have raised £12,000 for Canine Partners and I hope to raise enough money for another fully trained Canine Partner this year!!!

Last year I completing the 26.2 mile London Marathon course in a time of 4hrs 27min 28sec. Although I'm delighted to have got round without injury, this year I hope to beat my personal best time........... whilst raising funds for a great charity.

I chose the charity “Canine Partners” after meeting Claire Graham & Ulli, her canine partner by chance. Claire explained how Ulli had truly helped her in becoming more independent. Claire wont be running the London marathon with Ulli herself, but she has inspired me to run for "Canine Partners" and help others like Claire become more independent.
