Your support will sponsor me, and my friends, from the cute and cuddly age of 8 weeks to the grand age of 20 months when we will become fully fledged Canine Partners. During the 18 months of training I will learn all the skills needed to help change the life of someone with a disability and their family, and you can follow my exciting journey. |

Canine Partners is a progressive charity that aims to transform the lives of people with disabilities, enabling them to live more independently by partnering them with highly trained assistance dogs. As a registered charity we receive no government funding and are wholly dependent on public donations and legacies.
Canine Partners Appoints Senior Manager for Scotland - Glasgow based fundraising expert joins expanding team
Canine Partners has just announced the appointment of a Senior Manager for Scotland to support the charity’s expansion plans throughout the country. Glasgow based Annemarie Devlin joins the team with 10 years experience in the voluntary sector where she has specialised in fundraising with organisations such as Scottish Epilepsy Initiative, CLIC Sargent and ChildLine Scotland.
Canine Partners officially launched into Scotland earlier this year and already has an established partnership in Dumfries as well as a volunteer Committee in Scotland chaired by the Earl of Eglinton. The charity also has a satellite training centre in Angus and is planning to open another in Glasgow later this summer. These developments will provide the necessary infrastructure to support the ambitious plans Canine Partners has to create an additional 5 partnerships in Scotland this year.
Annemarie’s role will be to build on Canine Partner’s existing presence in Scotland, bring on new supporters and income streams as well as raising awareness and increasing the profile of the charity. “I am very excited by the challenge ahead and feel people with disabilities in Scotland will really benefit from having their own locally based charity such as Canine Partners,” comments Annemarie. “In order to reach our goal of 5 new partnerships, we need funds in excess of £50,000 which is no mean feat. I would love to see the people of Scotland get behind us to help drive this forward. I am hoping to build a network of supporters groups throughout Scotland and would welcome anyone with an interest in the work of the charity getting in touch.”
